Marcia Major-AlMarcia Major-Albertbert

Marcia Major-Albert began her photographic career in 1988 as a Communications Manager for a PA Economic Development Agency where she was responsible for hiring Commercial Photographers for Industrial and Advertising shoots, as well as photographing events for a legislative quarterly newsletter.

In 1992 Marcia began her formal studies in Photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, NY) focusing on Advertising photography. She received her Bachelor of Science in "Photographic Illustration" from RIT in the summer of 1995.

Inspired by a handicapped jewelry artist who needed to produce a catalog of her work in 1993, Marcia began her career in jewelry photography and has continued to the present. Since that time she has photographed the work of Artisans and Crafters throughout the USA including those who create: glass and polymer clay beads, dichroic glass pieces, sculptors, fiber art and much more.

Marcia currently provides her photography services part-time on weekends and works full-time in a photographic-related industry.
